Marina One
Marina One is a new development by developer M+S, which is a joint venture between Malaysia’s Khazanah Nasional Bhd and Singapore’s Temasek Holdings Pte Ltd. This mixed project will have high-end residential, commercial and retail units in four 30-storey and 34-storey high towers and a garden at the centre of the development. Marina One has already won three awards at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2012 in April as the Best High Rise Architecture, Best Mixed-Use Architecture and Best Mixed-Use Development, even before its launch. M+S said: “The project will define new standards of luxury urban living in Singapore, creating a benchmark for international excellence in design and sustainability.”
The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore has identified the area, the Marina South district as a growth area to establish a global business and financial hub in the country. Already, the area hosts iconic landmarks such as Marina Bay Sands, Singapore Flyer, Esplanade Theatres On The Bay and Gardens By The Bay. The Marina South district will be linked to Marina Bay and the upcoming MRT stations by 2017.
